INFINITE’s Hoya and Ahn Bo Hyun Discuss How Similar They Are to Their Characters in “Heeya”

INFINITE‘s Hoya filmed a pictorial with his on-screen brother Ahn Bo Hyun in the movie “Heeya.”

 For this InStyle magazine photo shoot, Hoya and Ahn Bo Hyun talked a lot about their new film. The story is about a younger brother Jin Ho, who dreams of becoming a singer, and an older brother Jin Sang, who doesn’t look like it but cares deeply about his sibling. The two stars actually live near each other, so they had time to meet up and get close with each other before filming began. They even went to the gym together to prepare for shirtless scenes.

 During the interview, Hoya said, “The director told me he based Jin Ho’s character on my experiences and thoughts. I failed about 20 auditions just like Jin Ho, and I dropped out of school just like him.”

Ahn Bo Hyun also said the same thing about his character, explaining, “The director said he decided to pick me because I am exactly how he pictured Jin Sang would be like.” He also addressed similarities between himself and Hoya, saying, “Both Hoya and I are from Busan. There are many things that he and I can relate to.”

When asked about how others might react to this upcoming movie, Hoya said, “I’m thinking of not inviting [INFINITE] members to the press conference.” He joked, “They’re bound to laugh at me when they see me in a serious scene.”

Meanwhile, “Heeya” will be coming to theaters on March 10.

INFINITE’s Hoya Reveals Dance Practice For His ‘INFINITE EFFECT ADVANCE’ Solo Stage

After finishing up their ‘INFINITE EFFECT’ second world tour at the end of January, INFINITE held encore concerts called ‘INFINITE EFFECT ADVANCE’ in Seoul on February 20th and 21st.

 The seven-member group put on outstanding performances for their Korean fans who haven’t seen them since August of 2015 when they started their world tour.

 With those amazing performances, each member was given his own solo stage. Sungkyu performed ‘Daydream’ from his second solo album ‘27’, Sungyeol performed PSY’s ‘Daddy’, Myungsoo sang the Korean version of INFINITE’s Japanese song ‘Love Of My Life’, Woohyun sang ‘You’re My Lady’ from Toheart’s album, Dongwoo performed a self-written song and danced to the intro track from INFINITE H’s ‘Fly Again’ album, and Sungjong performed a song called ‘Pick The Star From The Sky’ (translated title).

 For Hoya’s solo stage, he sang and danced to Usher’s ‘Good Kisser’. During the performance he played the drums and half-way through the song, proceeded to rip his shirt off, revealing the six pack he’s been hiding for a couple of years!

 On the 25th, Hoya uploaded the dance practice video for this song to his personal YouTube channel.

 Hoya, accompanied by Team ADDM and Hyojin Choi of 1Million Dance Studios performed the song as if it were a live stage. Unfortunately for fans, Hoya does not rip his shirt off in this video.

  • Hoya's home town is in Busan.
